Head Spa
Head Spa
Head spas are therapeutic scalp and hair treatments designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish the scalp while promoting relaxation and healthy hair growth. At Lunè Medical Spa we use Milbon’s luxury, Japanese product line that targets inflammation, buildup, and dehydration that traditional head spa products simply don’t address. Beyond scalp health, the experience supports improved circulation and stress relief. The result is a refreshed scalp, healthier-looking hair, and a deeply relaxing wellness experience.
Time
Head spa treatments typically take 45–60 minutes, depending on the type of treatment and level of customization. This usually includes scalp analysis, deep cleansing, exfoliation, massage, treatment masks or serums, and a relaxing rinse. Some more advanced or luxury head spa treatments may last 60–75 minutes if additional scalp therapy or extended massage is included.
Head spas are designed to be both therapeutic and relaxing, with most patients able to return to their normal activities immediately afterward. Many treatments also include a light blow-dry or styling, depending on the provider and service.
Targets
Head spa treatments target scalp health, hair health, and relaxation by deeply cleansing, nourishing, and stimulating the scalp. These treatments help remove buildup, excess oil, and impurities that can affect hair growth and overall scalp condition while promoting a healthier environment for hair to thrive.
Head spas are commonly used to address concerns such as dry or oily scalp, dandruff, product buildup, thinning hair, and poor scalp circulation. The treatment also helps improve hair strength, shine, and overall hair health while providing a relaxing scalp massage that promotes stress relief and improved circulation. Overall, head spa treatments support healthier hair growth and a refreshed, balanced scalp.
How Often
Head spa treatments are typically recommended every 4–6 weeks to maintain optimal scalp health and support healthy hair growth. This schedule helps remove buildup, balance oil production, and keep the scalp nourished and refreshed.
Some patients may benefit from more frequent treatments depending on their scalp concerns. For example, those with dandruff, excess oil, or scalp buildup may benefit from every 2–4 weeks initially, while patients focused on maintenance and relaxation may schedule treatments every 6–8 weeks. Your provider may recommend a customized schedule based on your scalp health, hair goals, and overall treatment plan.
